This commercial space was a bit of a departure for PMC, but one that made sound fiscal sense — proof that the firm's executive team is willing to think outside the box as long as the economics of a project meet their requirements. Originally home to a catering facility, this vacant structure was a natural fit to serve as the new commissary for US Airways at its Philadelphia International Airport hub. The PMC executive team flagged the spacious building because it already had a climate-controlled environment, ample parking, and was conveniently located just minutes from the airport tarmac.

However, execution of the deal required several important modifications, including the removal of existing cooking equipment, the addition of office space on the second floor, and reconfiguration of HVAC and refrigeration. In all, nearly $1.5 million in improvements were made to make this building a proper home for PMC's new commercial tenant.

While the majority of this building is now used to stock in-flight beverage and snack carts, it also includes a bonded area that houses liquor and a U.S. Customs-controlled duty-free warehousing area for items like chocolate and perfume. The upper level of the space is also used as a customer-service training facility for gate and ticket agents with a convenient location and parking for employees and guests.
